Got Drives?
Selecting what Hard Drive(s) to use in your Desktop, Gaming, or Rack Mount Server Computer can be a daunting task. Should
you use SCSi, SATA, or SAS drives? What's better... 68-pin or 80-pin SCSi? Is a standard 3.5" drive preferred, or would a
2.5" slim drive work better? Then there's the whole issue of RPM & speed. 7,200 or 10,000 or maybe even a 15K option.
Western Digital Raptor or maybe a Raid Edition drive would suffice. As you can see, selecting a hard drive is a little
overwhelming. With increased size and speed, comes a higher price tag. For standard desktop applications, a Western
Digital 250GB SATA2 drive will suffice... but if you're concerned about gaming speeds then you might want to look at a
10,000 RPM Western Digital Raptor Drive. SCSi & Raid Edition SATA Drives are popular formats for Server Level Design... and
don't forget about the new and upcoming SAS platforms. With Visionman, you're sure to get just the drive(s) you need to
compliment your desktop computer or Server Hardware configuration.
